Please follow through this list if you are experiencing connection issues:
- All phones & phone line devices will need to have a filter (2 are supplied). Place them in front of each device on the line (ie. Phone, Fax machine, satellite, security system, etc). Do not put a filter on the modem line!
- If your modem ADSL light does not come on it is a connection problem. The light will ALWAYS come on irregardless of being connected. Double check the phone cable connecting the modem. In some cases you will be required to swap cables to check for a damaged phone cable. (if you have pets this is sometimes a very likely solution to your problem, as pets like to chew!).
- If you find yourself disconnected but all lights are solid. Simply unplug the power from your modem, leave the modem unplugged for 30 seconds and plug it back in (a computer reboot may be required, depending on your operating system).
- If you had a previous internet provider you will need to do the following: Click Start > Settings > Control Panel, double-click on Network. Double-click on TCP/IP for network card. Click on Obtain IP address automatically. Click OK and OK again, you may be asked to reboot.
